Up for sale is a mint- Canon EF 35mm f/1.4L lens.

I am the original owner. Cosmetically, the lens is in perfect condition and has been preserved throughout in a temperature-controlled, smoke-free environment. Optically, the glass is in flawless condition. My copy is extremely sharp (see sample images below). It comes with the box, caps, hood and case. Date code US0901.

The lens retails for ~$1400 at big and reputed discounters. I would like $1200 obo, PayPal preferred. Paypal fees (3%) are extra, and shipping is at cost. But I am willing to absorb shipping in response to fast payment.

A: There is nothing wrong with the lens. It is incredibly sharp but I need the money to pay the taxman.

A: See below for an example. Also available is a complete directory of images. These are downsampled images, compressed for the Web. They were taken with the lens mounted on a Canon EOS 3 film camera for the most part. But hopefully, they show what this lens is capable of.
